| Jim's Bicycle Shop | | | Jim's bicycle shop is located on Plainfield Rd. just S. of Galbraith. It's
a little privately owned shop that has a decent selection of bikes.
What appeals to me about this place is that it is a small business and the
staff doesn't have a "We're elite" thing going on that many
bike shops tend to have.

| India Palace | | | This is a great place to eat. They have the BEST curry chicken ever!! The
staff members are very good with their customers. That about sums it up!
Food to die for! They're at the bottom of Ludlow close to Cincinnati State.
| Donovan Tire | | | Sometimes, a good measure of a company is how they handle it when something
goes wrong. I bought a set of Firestone tires but they shook the car in spite
of the fact they were balanced right. They put another two tires on trying to
fix the problem. Unfortunately this did not work out. They then put a new set
of different Firestone tires on the car and this model shook the car as well.
When I explained that the car still would not ride right, they cheerfully
refunded my money like a good business should. Good bunch of guys who will
treat you right, but ask for Goodyear or Michelin.
| Hyde Park Chiropractic | | | Many people find chiropractic kind of hokey. Well, it depends on which doctor
you choose. I found one that leaves the hokiness behind and takes a professional
approach to spinal maintenance. Their easygoing and down-to-earth fashion is
refreshing, and Dr. Moeller is always friendly and wears a smile.
| Italianette Pizza | | | I dig pizza, and there is a really good joint on Plainfield road in Silverton,
just north of Montgomery road, under the big green awning. The food is excellent
and they have always been pleasant.
| (Salsa's) (Gone now) | | | Ok, so some people don't like Mexican, much less fast mexican. However, I must
argue here. Salsa's (not to be confused with La Salsa), located in Blue Ash on
Kenwood Road, right across from Blockbuster Video,
is the BEST fast Mexican out there. I'm a regular there. (Update: The restaurant was bought early Summer 2004 by "Cactus Pear," which promptly ruined it.)
| (Maya's) (Gone now) | | | If you're like me, on weekends you like to go out and get some pancakes or a
good omelette. Maybe even a sandwich or brunch. Maya's, located in Blue Ash
on Kenwood road, about a block north of Cooper, serves up good breakfast and
lunch. They have dinner too, but I haven't been there much for that. They
also have tons and tons of pastries. The guy who started it all is a pastry
chef. Oh, and the wait is hardly ever more than about a minute. (Update: This restaurant closed in early 2004.)
